As a samurai, slay the demons that live in the castle. Survive for as long as you can.

- Slaying demons

- Demons have 2 to 3 bars above them:

- The second is their health bar. Powerful demons that take several hits have these.
- The third is the shield bar. These measure the time it takes for demons to lose their protective shields.
- Some monsters also have weak spots, indicated by target circles. Select these to defeat the demons faster.
- Boss Demons
- Boss demons take longer to slay than other demons.
- Hit all their weak spots to keep them from attacking you.
- You must hit them several times at their weak spots to defeat them.
- Getting hit by them is an instant game over.
- Rage mode
- The more you attack monsters, the more your rage attack is charged.
- Your attacks are more powerful while in rage mode.
- Upgrades can lengthen the duration of rage mode.
- Lives
- You start the game with 3 lives
- Each time a demon attacks you, you lose one life.
- Lose all your lives and it’s game over.
- Power ups
- Power ups provide you a brief defensive or offensive bonus against the demons.
- Bandages heal one life.
- Shuriken deflect one enemy hit apiece
- Shields activate a defensive bubble around you that protects you from hits.
- You can pick these up through your journey.
- Go to the shop to upgrade your power ups.

- Earn points for every demon you’ve slain and the distance you’ve ran.

- Earn coins as you slay demons.
- You can use the coins you earn to buy upgrades at the shop:
- Health: Gain extra lives
- Extra shield: Shields last longer
- Rage attack: Rage mode lasts longer
