Save The Doge Game for Kids Video Game Play Instructions

• Starting the Game
  • On the welcome screen, select the play button to begin.
    • Select the list button next to the play button to open the level selection screen.
    • Selecting the play button after you’ve played the game previously will load the most recent level you’ve unlocked.
  • Select the speaker button on the top left corner to turn the game’s audio on or off.
  • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.
    • Keep track of the coins you collected on the top right corner.
    • The bottom center of the screen shows the number of levels you’ve cleared.
• Game Controls

    • With your mouse, left click and drag to draw a barrier.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Draw with your fingers to create a barrier.

      • Back button: Quits the game and returns you to the welcome screen.
      • Reset button: Restarts the game from the beginning.

  • Levels
    • This game has 30 stages.
      • Levels are unlocked in sequence.
      • You start with only one level unlocked.
      • Finish one level to unlock the next.
    • You can replay any of the levels you’ve already unlocked.
      • To play any of the previous levels, select the hamburger button on the bottom right corner of the welcome screen.
      • Once you have beat all 30 stages you must rely on the hamburger menu instead of the regular play button.
    • Winning vs losing
      • After you draw the line the bees chase after you for 5 seconds.
      • You beat a level by staying alive until the timer reaches zero.
      • You lose a level if you run into spikes, get hit by a rock, fall into the water, or the bees are able to attack you.
      • This game offers unlimited continues.
  • Basic rules
    • Create a barrier with your mouse or fingers to protect the Shiba Inu dogs.
      • There can be more than one dog in a level. Save all of them to win.
      • The barrier must prevent any of the hazards (bees, boulders, etc.) from hitting the dogs in any way.
      • You must draw the barrier in a single continuous stroke.
    • The bees do not leave the hive until after you’ve completed drawing the line.
    • A timer appears after you finish drawing the barrier.
      • Gradually, the barrier erodes as the bees attack it. You must make sure the barrier is positioned in a way that it lasts.
      • The barrier must stay up until the timer expires.
      • If the barrier erodes and the bees get in, you fail the level.
    • If you’re ever stumped, select the hint button on the top left corner.
      • Although the hint button is ad-based, this functionality is turned off for this game.
  • Ratings and coins
    • Star ratings
      • The game offers a star rating for the level based on how long the line you drew is.
      • The shorter the line you use to protect the dogs, the higher your star rating will be.
      • Keep track of your star rating using the bar on the top center of the screen.
    • Coins
      • The coins you collect is based on your star rating.
      • You receive more coins each time you replay a level.
      • Although there is an option to gain double coins by watching an ad, it is currently turned off for this game.
    • Shop
      • Use the coins to buy new items from the shop.
        • The items in the shop can be used to switch out animals.
        • Each unlock costs 500 coins.
      • Animals to save:
        • Shiba Inu dog (default)
        • Blue Heeler dog
        • Cat
        • Pig
        • Monkey
        • Panda
        • Cow
      • Animals to defend against:
        • Bees (default)
        • Mosquitos
        • Wasps
        • Evil robots
  • Level features
    • Aggressors and hazards
      • You must protect the dogs from these entities.
      • These hazards include bees and boulders.
      • The moment you draw, the hazards become active.
    • Acid and spikes
      • Acid pools appear in some parts of the level.
      • You must keep the dogs from falling into them.
      • Likewise, you can draw the path to drive the bees and boulders toward the acid or spikes.
    • Pits
      • Sometimes, levels consist of bottomless pits.
      • You must draw a barrier that also acts as a platform for the dogs.
  • Tips
    • Gravity & other hazards
      • The Shiba Inu will fall unless it has something under it which stops the force of gravity.
      • If you fall into the water, get crushed by a rock, or get stung by a bee you lose.
    • Bee flight paths
      • Bees can not fly through the solid platform borders, but you can draw through them.
      • Bees can not fly through the boundaries of the screen.
    • Drawing
      • You only get to draw a single continuous line. As soon as you let up the bees go in motion.
      • The bees attack the line you draw. This means you should put a bit of clearance between any borders and your Shiba Inu, and quite often that it makes sense to have 2 lines on the bottom of your protective shell so that your Shiba Inu is not placed directly against the border.
      • If you earn fewer than 3 stars don’t worry about it, as you can add to your star total by replaying levels you already beat, meaning you can earn dozens of stars on a level by playing it many times.
