Slime Farmer Game for Kids Video Game Play Instructions

• Starting the Game
  • Select the red play button near the botton center of the welcome screen to start the game.
  • The welcome screen has a settings button below the start button for controlling game sound & music.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • Use the left and right arrow keys to spin counterclockwise and clockwise.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap the left or right side of the screen to turn left or right.
  • Controls & indicators
    • The upper left corner of the screen shows your coin savings and remaining lives.
    • The top center of the screen shows your wave number and game score.
    • The upper right corner of the screen has a pause button and a button to change the screen rotation speed between 0.5x, 1x, and 2x.
• Game Play
  • Basics
    • This is a 360 degree shooter where you fight off waves of incoming slimes.
      • As some slimes are defeated others appear.
      • Clear each stage of all slimes to move onto the next.
    • You start the game with 3 lives.
      • If a slime reaches you then you lose one of your lives.
      • You can purchase additional lives in the upgrades store.
      • When you run out of lives it is game over.
  • Slimes
    • This game features a variety of slime types.
      • Green – the basic slime.
      • Blue – similar to the green slime but slightly more powerful (takes 2 shots until you power up).
      • Yellow – larger than a normal slime. After you defeat the yellow slime it turns into 3 smaller yellow slimes you also need to defeat.
      • Red – similar to the green or blue slime, but moves faster.
      • Purple – larger than normal slimes & more powerful, but can be defeated with a single shot when your shot power is fully upgraded.
    • The first level only has green slimes. As you progress through the game you face slimes appearing more quickly AND you get a mix of higher power slimes.
  • Upgrades
    • At the end of each level you can upgrade your shot damage, fire rate, and remaining lives.
    • The upgrade cost schedule is 1, 5, 25, 125, and 625.
    • Shot damage and fire rate can be upgraded 5 times each.
    • You can upgrade your remaining lives more times than the other features, but the cost grows geometrically, with the sixth update costing 3,125.
  • Tips
    • Early in the game it is best to upgrade your shot frequency first, then shot damage. Wait to add more lives until later in the game as upgrading the other features first will allow you to not lose lives.
    • Stay in constant motion, with stops reserved for when your shot is locked in on a slime.
    • Look at the indicators on the left and right sides of the screen to turn where slimes appear quickly.
    • Defeat the slimes that are closest to you first, though preference hitting red slimes over other slime as the red slimes approach faster.
    • Once you get about a dozen stages into the game it is hard to keep up with all the approaching slimes while playing on normal speed. Switch the cannon turn speed to 2x to allow you to rotate back and forth faster.
