Smurfy Soccer Penalty Kick Game Play Instructions

• Starting the Game
  • Click on the blue Go button in the center of the screen on the game welcome screen.
    • This will bring up the language select screen. Click on the flag associated with the language you prefer to play in.
      • UK flag = English
      • France flag = French
      • Span flag = Spanish
      • Germany flag = German
    • Next click on the load screen to open up the difficulty level menu.
    • Then click on easy, medium, or hard.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • The mouse is the main control in the game.
    • You alternate between being a penalty kicker and the goalie.
    • As the penalty kicker you can have the cursor point anywhere inside the goal and click when the power bar is in the green zone.
      • If the cursor is outside the goal you won’t be allowed to kick.
      • If the cursor is inside the goal it can be anywhere. The only thing that matters is the timing of the kick.
    • As the goalie you must click on the target which shows for a fraction of a second after the 3, 2, 1 countdown is complete.
  • On touchscreen devices you use your finger like a mouse.
• Game Play
  • Difficulty levels
    • The main differences between the difficulty tiers is how quickly you must click on the target as goalie and how fast the penalty kick power meter moves.
    • On rather large screen sizes it can take time to scroll the mouse over to the target, making it hard to play the goalie on medium mode or above.
    • If you are having trouble moving your mouse quick enough as the goalie consider making your screen size smaller so it is quicker to scroll across.
  • Win, Lose or Draw
    • If you make more shots than you give up you win.
    • If you are ahead enough that it is mathematically impossible for the computer to catch up (e.g. you made the first 3 shots while blocking the computer’s first three shots) the round ends early.
      • You score more points for winning big.
    • If you are behind enough that it is mathematically impossible for you to catch up with the computer then the round ends early.
      • You lose points when you lose & you lose more points for losing big.
    • If you tie it is considered a draw and no points are gained or lost.
• Audience
  • The three difficulty levels makes this a fun mini game for Smurfs fans of all ages.
