Soccer Online Game Play Instructions

• Starting the Game
  • You can turn game sounds on or off using the button in the upper left corner of the welcome screen.
  • You can toggle between full screen mode by clicking the button in the upper right corner of the welcome screen.
  • Click on the silver and gray arrow play button to begin the game. This will bring up a screen to enter your name and select a country from among dozens including Argentina, Nigeria, Australia, Germany, Brazil, Italy, Spain, Portugal, the United States, France, Japan, and South Korea.
• Game Controls
  • General
    • If your pieces are solid it is your turn to hit.
    • If your pieces are translucent it is the opposing team’s turn to hit.
    • Each game lasts a single 90 second period. The time clock shows at the bottom of the screen.
  • Mouse
    • Left click on the piece you want to hit.
    • Move your mouse cursor to set the strength and angle of your shot.
    • Release to shoot.
  • You can also use touchscreen controls.
• Strategy
  • You can hit opposing players into the ball, or knock them out of position to make it easier to hit the ball on your next turn. In some cases you can make them spend their turn by how you hit into them.
  • There is no out of bounds. Sometimes it can be easier to ricochet the ball off the edge of the playing field into the goal than to do a direct shot.
  • Your shot is not timed, so if the ball is moving in a direction which makes the shot angle easier then wait and let the ball go into position.
  • As your shot is not timed & hits happen in alternating sequence, if you have the lead and the ball is stopped or is not near your goal you can simply let the clock wind down until time runs out.
  • The ball can get stuck near the goal and the edge of the playing field.
  • In the second screenshot below I show how I usually kick off the start. This typically either scores a goal or puts the opposing team out of position making it easier to score on the next shot.
