Sokofarm Game for Kids Video Game Play Instructions

• Starting the Game
  • Press the start button in the lower right corner to start playing the first level.
    • If you have played the game before your web browser saves your progress and will start you off on the last level you unlocked.
  • The upper left corner of the game has buttons for music control, sound control, and switching to full screen mode.
  • Arrows on either side of the level displayed allow you to scroll through the levels.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • Move left by pressing either the A key or the left arrow key.
    • Move right by pressing either the D key or the right arrow key.
    • Move up by pressing either the W key or the up arrow key.
    • Move down by pressing either the S key or the down arrow key.
    • Press the R key to restart the level.
    • Press the X key to return to the game’s homescreen.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Use the on screen controls.
    • The movement pad is located in the lower left corner of the screen.
  • Controls & indicators
    • The lower right corner of the screen has buttons for restarting the level and returning to the game’s home screen.
• Game Play
  • Basics
    • This is a game inspired by Sokoban, though you push seeds rather than boxes.
    • You can push seeds in any direction one square at a time, but can not push through a wall & can not push through 2 consecutive seed packs.
    • You can not walk through seed packs, and can not pull seed packs.
    • Unlike some Sokoban games this game does not have a move count limit nor does it grade your level performance based on your total moves – you simply pass a level when all the seeds are in the correct positions.
  • Levels
    • This game has 25 levels which are unlocked sequentially.
      • Each level has a unique layout configuration, though only a couple seed packs to place into position.
      • As you advance through the game levels have different seed types, but the basic gameplay is the same.
      • You can go back and replay previously beat levels at any time.
    • Winning vs losing
      • You win the game by placing all seed packs onto the destination squares.
      • You lose a level if you get stuck to where it is no longer possible to make valid moves that enable a win.
      • This game offers unlimited continues. If you make an error you can quickly restart the level using the button in the lower right corner of the screen.
  • Tips
    • Try not to place seed packs along a wall unless the wall curves out later or the wall runs along where one of the seed packs go.
    • The level designs are generally pretty easy. If you are struggling on a particular level, consider moving a different seed pack first or moving the first seed pack to the other destination location.
    • When a seed pack is placed on a destination square you can still move it again.
      • On some levels you’ll need to put seed packs temporarily into position before moving them out of position.
      • On other levels you need move the seed packs only part of the way to the destination before moving the second seed pack into position, then go back to the first.
      • The seeds only bloom into plants after each planting location has a seed pack atop it.
