Solitaire Master Card Game for Kids Video Game Play Instructions

• Starting the Game
  • Tap on the black “tap to continue” button on the game load screen.
  • Click the play button on the game welcome screen.
    • This will bring up the game type select screen which enables you to choose to play Klondike, Freecell, or Spiderette.
  • The welcome screen also contains other buttons including an i for developer information underneath the play button, a sound control button in the lower left corner, and a language select button in the lower right corner.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • Use your mouse left click to select a card and drag it into position.
    • Alternatively you can double click a card to automatically move it.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap a card to select it and drag it where you want to play it.
• Game Play
  • General
    • The upper left corner of the game has an undo button which can be used repeatedly & shows how long the current game has lasted.
    • The upper right corner of the game has a home button.
  • Klondike
    • This is the most popular version of Solitaire. If people mention the game without any other terms this is the game they are referring to.
    • 28 cards are dealt directly to the tableau in columns of 1 to 7 cards with only the bottom card in each column turned face up.
    • 24 cards are dealt to the reserves, which are dealt one at a time.
    • Build down on the tableau while alternating suit color.
    • You may move any sequential run of cards onto another, though only runs starting with a King may be moved to an open column on the tableau.
    • Build up sequentially by suit to the foundations, starting with the ace and ending with the king.
  • Freecell
    • This game gets its name from containing 4 free cells which can be temporarily used.
      • You can only move a single card at a time, but you can move runs of sequential cards provided you have enough open free cells.
      • Whenever you empty a free cell you can use it again.
    • All 52 cards are dealt directly to the tableau across 8 columns, with 4 columns having 7 cards each and the other 4 columns having 6 cards each.
    • Build down while alternating suit color on the tableau.
    • Any card may be laid to an open column on the tableau.
    • Build foundations in ascending order by suit starting with the Ace and ending with the king.
  • Spiderette
    • This is a single deck & single suit version of the game spider.
    • 28 cards are dealt to the tableau similarly to how Klondike is dealt.
    • 24 cards are dealt to the reserves, which are dealt 1 per column to the tableau 7-at-a-time for 3 rounds until the final round where 3 cards are dealt to the right 3 columns.
      • Each column on the tableau must have at least 1 card in it before you can deal additional cards from the reserve.
    • Build 4 Spades royal flushes to beat the game.
    • You can move sequential runs of cards & when you complete from king down to ace the royal flush is automatically removed from the tableau.
