Space Kitten Game for Kids Video Game Play Instructions

• Starting the Game
  • Press the START button in the lower left of the welcome screen to bring up the level select screen.
    • Levels are unlocked sequentially.
    • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • Press the left arrow key to move left.
    • Press the right arrow key to move right.
    • Press the C key to jump.
    • Press the Z key to grab a power cord (you do not need to hold the Z button to keep the cord selected).
    • Press the X key to shoot your laser gun.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Use the on-screen controls.
      • Move left and right buttons are in the lower left corner.
      • Jump is in the lower right corner along the right side.
      • As you advance through the game a paw button is added along the bottom of the screen on the right side for grabbing power cords & a bullet button for shooting your laser appears next to it.
  • Controls & indicators
    • When you start a level the current level number shows in the center of the screen.
    • The upper right corner of the game has buttons for sound control & pausing the game.
      • When you pause the game it reveals a menu in the center of the screen to restart the level, return home, go to the level select screen, or resume play.
    • The level select screen shows which levels you have unlocked.
• Game Play
  • Basics
    • Your goal is to make it through the level exit in one piece.
      • Most exits are locked initially.
      • You open the exits by plugging in any power cords on the level & shooting any red targets.
    • Each stage counts up to 10 seconds and then spikes slowly fall.
      • You die if the spikes hit you or you fall off platform.
      • If you die on a level you can continue an unlimited number of times & the game automatically restarts the current level.
  • Levels
    • This game has 20 stages which are unlocked sequentially.
    • You can go back and replay previously beat levels at any time.
  • Strategy
    • It is easier to fall than it is to climb, so make sure you shoot any high red targets while you are on a high platform.
    • Your gun shoots across the full width of the screen & any time you change directions it slows you down a bit, so it is worth firing whenever you can while already moving in the direction you need to shoot.
    • When you move with the cord you move more slowly, so sometimes it is better to move laterally with the cord while jumping rather than walking.

  • The game is suited for players who like cats or cute level escape games.
