Stone Smacker Game for Kids Game Play Instructions

• Starting the Game
  • Select the yellow and white PLAY button in the center of the game’s welcome screen.
    • When you click on the PLAY button it brings up the level select screen.
    • Initially only the first level is unlocked & you unlock each of the subsequent 9 levels whenever you beat a level.
    • Your web browser automatically stores your game progress.
  • The welcome screen also has buttons to switch to full screen mode, mute game sounds, or read developer information and game credits.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • To move around the level you have to use the A S D W keys.
    • Tap the spacebar to swing your sword to push the stone in the direction you are facing.
    • The F button
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Use the on screen controls to move and swing your sword.
    • The movement pad is in the lower left corner.
    • The sword swinging button is in the lower right corner.
  • The upper left corner of the game shows what level you are on & the upper right corner offers a level select button.
• Game Play
  • Strategy
    • Levels are not timed, so you should have the full strategy for each stone planned out before you hit the stone the first time.
    • If you make a mistake you hit the signs with a reset circle on them to restart the current level.
      • If you hit the sign it will restart you at the current portion of the level you are on rather than at the beginning of the level.d
    • You can only make the stones move up, down, left, or right, so you need to be able to draw straight lines from its current position to the hole.
      • If you are struggling on what strategy to use with the stone, consider starting with the hole’s position and working backward to see where the stone must be placed.
  • Hitting Stones & Breaking Bushes
    • When you hit a stone it will keep moving in the direction you hit it until it runs into something or falls in a hole.
    • Bushes can stop the stone in place & then you can cut away a bush after the stone has stopped.
    • In some cases you will need to destroy bushes before hitting the stone, while in other cases you will need to leave the bushes in place and hit the stones off them.
  • Bugs
    • One time on the fifth level of this game it positioned my character outside of the level boundary when the game loaded. Refreshing the browser window corrected this issue.
• Target Audience
  • People who like simple logic puzzle games or the aesthetic design of older Zelda games should like this game.
  • There are no adult themes in this game.
