- Game Play
- At the beginning of each level it states your level goal.
- Some levels will have specific numerical goals for how many balls you must remove from the playing field while other levels will suggest you need to clear the level to the top or free trapped marshmallows.
- If you have a numerical goal it will show in the lower right corner of the screen & as you make progress that number will fall toward zero.
- You remaining shooting ball count is shown near your friend who is holding the “next up” ball for you.
- Aiming your shot
- You can bounce balls off the wall.
- Remove balls
- Aim the ball at the correct location to get 3 or more balls of the same color in a row to have them removed from the playing field.
- If the 3 in a row you remove from the playing field has other balls underneath it which were only connected by that sequence they will fall off the playing field as well.
- As you remove balls from the playing field the entire field may move down the screen some.
- Special balls
- As you progress through the game a variety of special balls are introduced.
- Rainbow balls act as the same color as whatever balls they touch.
- Black balls with an explosion symbol on them blow up whenever they are hit.
- Black balls with a left and right arrow on it that destroys across.
- Black balls with up and down arrows on it that destroys up and down.
- Charcoal blocks
- You can’t match up and remove the charcoal blocks.
- The only ways to remove them are the following options:
- Blow them up with one of the special balls with an explosion or arrow set.
- Remove the balls above them holding them in position so they fall away from the playing field.
- Scoring
- Each ball you remove from the playing field is worth 10 points.
- This game has a consecutive moves bonus where each consecutive shot you make that removes balls is worth an additional 5 points per ball, up to a maximum of 100 points per ball.
- Your star rating is based on your cumulative points scored in each level.
- You can still beat a level with a zero star rating, though the level select screen shows your best performance on each level.
- You can go back and play previous levels again to try to improve your star ratings.
- Strategy
- On some levels you have a limited number of balls to clear the field with and should try to make as much vertical progress as quickly as you can.
- If you find it easy to complete a level but did not score many stars on it try to take advantage of the scoring multiplier effect to remove streaks of balls.
- If you get a special ball (e.g. a rainbow ball or black ball) and see the next color is easy to lay keep swapping to use the next ball while saving the special ball for when the next ball would otherwise be nearly impossible to make a set of 3 or more in a row with.
- It can make sense to use the black balls where there are charcoal rocks to blow up.
- When shooting the rainbow ball it acts as the same color as every ball it touches, so it makes sense to always aim for hitting at least 2 different colors with it.
- If you have a good number of balls left and are near completing the level goal try to work on other parts of the level to improve your star rating before finishing the level.
- When you get to higher levels you need to increase your creativity with your approach. Some levels require bank shots off the walls to progress.
- Target Audience
- The game is suited for bubble shooting game fans of all ages & fans of the Cartoon Network series Summer Camp Island.
- Early levels are quite easy, though by the time you get to level 50 the game is quite challenging.
- The sliding difficulty level across stages as you progress plus the unlimited continues feature makes the game fun for everyone.
- The game has no adult themed content.
