Tom & Jerry Hush Rush Sneaking Mice Game Play Instructions
How to Play
Your mice automatically run. Slow down when passing breakable items to prevent making noise and waking Tom.
- Starting the Game
- Click the yellow play button.
- The welcome screen also has a “How to Play” button offering gameplay instructions walkthrough.
- Your high score is stored in your local web browser.
- Game Controls
- Desktop:
- Jerry and Nibbles automatically run.
- Click anywhere on the screen to slow down their running speed when you run past obstacles that can make noise.
- The lower left meter shows how much time you can sneak for.
- This power meter is used up while you are sneaking and restores when you run.
- Cheese
- If you run past cheese you score points for eating it, but it adds to the noise meter.
- Tom’s noise meter never goes down even if you are quiet for an extended period of time. It has no decay function.
- Firecrackers
- Click on the warning signal near firecrackers or else Nibbles will light it up, waking Tom & ending your game.
- Tap the spacebar to pause the game.
- Mobile: Use on-screen controls.
- Strategy
- Avoiding death
- Walk slowly past obstacles.
- Only walk slowly when you are near obstacles so you keep your sneak meter mostly full.
- Click the exclamation mark above firecrackers to prevent Nibbles from lighting it.
- You can click anywhere on the screen to slow down for other obstacles, but you should keep the mouse cursor close to Nibbles so that if a firecracker appears you can quickly click the exclamation mark so Nibbles does not play with it.
- Alternatively you can press the spacebar to pause the game whenever you see a firecracker, adjust your mouse location, press the spacebar again to unpause the game and click the exclamation point.
- Cheese
- Eating cheese can be worth a lot of points BUT it adds to the noise meter.
- If you are great at the game and can past dozens or hundreds of items without breaking any it would make sense to tap the exclamation point to avoid eating the cheese.
- Scoring points
- Each obstacle you pass that you do not break is worth points.
- Each obstacle which makes noise costs you points.
- Breaking an item costs you around half as many points as quietly passing it would.
- You can’t score less than zero points
- Cheese is worth about twice as many points as objects are, though it does add to your sound meter.
- Sneak meter strategy
- The sneak meter does restore after it is used, but the longer you use it for the more it drains.
- Eventually you get to where the sneak meter may not recharge enough in between items. If/when that happens it is best to simply run past an item without slowing down at all to recharge your sneak meter a bit more before the subsequent item.
- Restarting the game
- When the game is over it shows your current score, your all time high score, and there is a yellow “Play Again” button on the game over screen.
