Trains.io 3D Game for Kids Video Game Play Instructions

• Starting the Game

  • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress and best scores.

      • Scroll around the screen to guide your train (no need to hold the left click button in to drive).
      • Left click again after eating to give your train a speed boost to get out of trouble.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • With your fingers:
      • Tap on the screen to guide your train around the screen.
      • Tap again after eating to give your train a screen boost.
• Game Play
  • Basic
    • The game’s rules are identical to snake.
      • Drive the train toward toolboxes, nuts and bolts, and coins to make it grow longer.
      • Guide your train away from the other trains and from the sides of the field. If you run into any other train or a wall it is game over.
      • Unlike other snake games, you are not penalized for hitting yourself.
    • Your train cannot maintain its length unless it has consumed a sizeable amount of parts. The train gets shorter unless you collect parts to maintain it.
    • Consuming parts will grant the train a brief speed boost.
      • Left click or tap to activate this, though use with caution when near other trains or the edge of the level.
    • Once you collide with the walls or with other trains, you have the option of using coins to purchase a continue.
  • Skin selection
    • You can use the coins you earned to change the type of train you use.
    • Once you’ve paid for a new type of train, it remains unlocked.
  • Tips
    • Trains will leave behind toolboxes when they crash. Look out for the remains of previous players and move toward them.
      • Train crashes look like a trail of tool kits in the shape of a train.
      • Move toward the corners as that’s where a lot of train crashes are going to be.
    • Try to avoid crowds of trains, especially in the early game.
