Twin the Bin Recycling Game for Kids Video Game Play Instructions

• Starting the Game
  • Select the green and white button at the bottom center of the welcome screen to start the game.
    • This will bring up the character select screen where you can choose to play as a boy or a girl.
    • The game will then tell you which type of trash you are collecting until you get to the next wave.
    • Your web browser automatically saves your best score.
  • The welcome screen also has 3 other buttons on it. The upper left corner have buttons for developer information and full screen mode while the upper right corner has a sound control button.

    • Use the left and right arrow keys to move left and right.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Use the on screen controls to move.
  • Controls & indicators
    • Your current score, all time best score, and remaining time show in the upper left corner.
    • The game has a settings button in the upper right corner. Clicking on it brings up a menu with the following options: quit game, control game sound, switch to full screen mode, and read how to play information.
• Game Play
  • Waves & scoring
    • When the game begins it will show a type of trash you should collect: glass, plastic, paper or organic.
    • Each of the correct type of trash you collect is worth 20 points, while each incorrect type of trash costs you 10 points.
    • Every game lasts 3 minutes. After each 45 second chunk the game will start new waves where it changes which type of trash you collect.
  • Strategy
    • You do not score any points for almost catching something, so if you are between two objects it is best to make a sure catch and then move on rather than making 2 near catches.
    • If you are uncertain which category a piece of trash falls under then collect one and see as if it does not fit your goal you only lose 10 points, whereas if it is in your category you gain 20 points immediately & may score many more when that item reappears later.

  • The game is suited for people of all ages who like simple catching games or Greenzo from the comedy series 30 Rock.
    • This game is quite repetitive so older children and adults may find it boring after a play or two.
    • Younger children should enjoy the simplicity of the game along with its bright colors.
