• Starting the Game
  • Press the PLAY button on the welcome screen to bring up the level select screen.
    • Levels are unlocked sequentially.
    • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress including beat levels and level ratings.

    • Tap the screen with a finger to set your shot strength & angle, then release to fire.
  • Controls & indicators
    • Indicators are across the bottom of the level.
      • The left shows how many garlic you have used & how many you are given to beat the current level.
      • Next it shows the star rating associated with how many garlic you have used thusfar.
      • In the lower right it shows the level number, a settings button for controlling game sounds & music, and a level restart button.
    • The level select screen shows which levels you beat and how many stars you earned on each level.

  • Basics
    • Throw the garlic at vampires and have the garlic detonate in close proximity to a vampire to destroy the vampire.
    • Destroy all the vampires using a limited number of garlic to earn a high star rating on each stage.
  • Levels
    • This game has 30 levels which are unlocked sequentially.
      • You can go back and replay previously beat levels at any time.
    • Winning vs losing
      • You lose if there are vampires left when you run out of garlic.
      • You beat the level by destroying all the vampires on it.
      • You can earn up to a 3-star rating on each level if you beat it with many garlic remaining in your inventory.
  • Strategy
    • Aim and adjust
      • Early in the game it makes sense to throw one garlic at a time so that you can use your performance of the prior shot to make adjustments to the next shot.
      • You can use the screen background design to help you track your prior shot strength and angle and estimate any adjustments before shooting again.
    • Rolling
      • The garlic does not explode on impact but acts similar to a grenade.
      • Sometimes you need to use the vampire itself or another object to stop or catch the garlic so it is held in position until it explodes.
    • On some levels you need to use the garlic to hit weights to cause rope-linked platforms to adjust positions.
      • As you advance through the game you may need to shoot multiple garlic in rapid succession so that you use one as a weight and the other to move across an adjacent platform opened up through moving a platform.
    • Some levels have spinning or moving platforms which guide or block your shots.
      • When a level has moving platforms that you want your garlic to move across you typically want to fire while the platform is moving in the upward direction.
      • Some of the spinning platforms require rapid successive shots so that one garlic spins the platform and the other is directed at the target you wish to hit.
    • Later levels in the game are far more challenging than early levels, so if you earn a low star rating on a level you can move onto the next stage and then later come back to try to earn a better rating on the level you struggled on earlier.
