How to Play
Fill all the missing letters in the puzzle. Make sure that each letter appears only once in every row, column, or square in the field.
- Starting the Game
- Select the play button at the center of the welcome screen to begin.
- Choose between 1 of 3 difficulty levels before proceeding.
- Use the expand button on the top left corner to switch between windowed and full screen modes.
- Toggle the game’s audio via the sound button on the upper right corner.

- On the top left corner is the timer.

- The bottom row has the 9 letters used in the puzzle laid out. The choices spell out a 9-letter word.
- At the bottom-most row, after the letters, are the buttons used to switch between various game modes.

- Basic rules
- Fill each of the cells in the 9 x 9 grid with a letter from the word spelled out at the bottom row.
- Like in regular Sudoku and its variants, you can only place in one of each letter in every row, column, and square of the grid.
- Input modes
- There are two ways to answer Wordoku:
- Cell mode: Pick a cell, then select the letter of your choice at the bottom row. In desktops, you can use your keyboard for this purpose.
- Letter mode: Pick one of the letters, then select the cell you want to put it in.
- You can also switch on memo mode if you’re not sure of your answers..
- Memo mode lets you jot down possible answers. You can jot down as many guesses as you want.
- Each time you place in a correct answer elsewhere in the row, square, or column, the number in the memo disappears.
- Select the memo mode button to activate it.
- Difficulty Levels
- This game has 3 different difficulty levels. The difference between each difficulty level is how much time you are given to complete the puzzle and how many givens are already filled in.
- Easy: 38 max givens & 36 minimum givens with a bonus scoring time based on a 10 minute limit
- Intermediate: 32 max givens & 28 minimum givens with a bonus scoring time based on a 20 minute limit
- Advanced: 26 max givens & 25 minimum givens with a bonus scoring time based on a 30 minute limit
- Game Options
- Get a hint: Reveal a letter.
- Fill the board with notes: Fill up the board with notes that show the possible combinations in each blank space.
- Solve the Wordoku: Give up? Have the computer fill it in for you.
- Full screen: Enter full screen mode.
- Reset the Wordoku: Remove all the letters in the board.
- Delete all notes: Clear all your memos on the board.
- Play without time: Disables the game’s timer

- Your final score depends on how fast you solve the puzzle.
- You lose points each time you use the game’s help options.
