- Game Play
- Merging basics
- You can only merge 2 stones at a time.
- You can only merge adjacent stones which are vertically or horizontally next to each other.
- You can’t merge diagonally.
- If you create a blank space on the board it isolates the stones on either side of the space & you won’t be able to merge across that gap.
- Merging unequal stones
- When you merge 2 stones which have unequal values you sum the stones together.
- The 2 stones combine into a single stone located at the position you moved a stone into.
- Merging equal stones
- When you merge 2 stones of equal value both stones disappear from the board & it creates a space in the level.
- Merging order
- The order you merge stones in matters.
- For example, if you had 9-8-1 stones:
- merge the 9 into the 8 and you would be left with 17-1, which you could then merge into 18
- merge the 1 into the 8 and you would be left with 9-9, which would disappear if you then merged them together
- Strategy
- If stones are connected to another position where there is only one possible way to merge a stone then you have to merge that stone inward toward the board.
- If a series of adjacent stones have the same value as each other & you need those sums to add to another stone make sure you do not try to merge any of the same value stones together until you have changed the value of at least one of those stones by merging a different valued stone into it.
- On some boards you create 2 large halves that are then merged together to create a zero, though on many boards you have to cleave off sections of smaller merge and erase sets.
- If you do not know where to start consider looking at the stone with the largest value and the stones which are adjacent it.
- Target Audience
- The game is suited for players who like math or merging logic puzzle games.
- The game has no adult themed content.
