Blade City Racing Game for Kids Video Game Play Instructions

• Starting the Game
  • On the welcome screen:
    • Select the play button to begin.
    • Select the steering wheel button to open the shop.
    • Select the speaker button to turn the game’s audio on or off.
  • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.
    • The money you’ve earned is shown on the top left corner of the screen.

      • Use the W key or the up arrow key to accelerate.
      • Use the S key or the down arrow key to brake.
      • Use the A key or the left arrow key to turn left.
      • Use the D key or the right arrow key to turn right.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • With your fingers:
      • In the lower right corner tap on the up arrow button to accelerate & tap on the down arrow button to brake.
      • In the lower left corner tap on the left and right arrow keys to turn left or right.

  • Levels
    • Levels are unlocked in sequence.
      • You start with only the first level unlocked.
      • Finish first in one level to unlock the next.
    • Laps
      • The first 5 courses are 2 laps each.
      • As you progress through the game additional laps are required to be levels beyond the fifth course.
        • Levels 6 through 10 are 3 laps each.
        • Levels 11 through 20 are 4 laps each.
    • There are 20 levels in this game.
      • You can replay any of the levels you’ve already unlocked.
  • Basic rules
    • Drive down the track and finish the indicated number of laps.
    • Beat all the other racers to the finish line.
    • Receive a 100-coin cash prize for winning first place on the first course.
    • As you progress through the game further courses are worth more points, with the point value of a first place finish going up by 100 coins for each subsequent track after the first to where the final course is worth 2,000 coins.
    • You can go back and replay previously beat courses to earn more coins.
  • Store
    • Use the cash you won from the races to unlock new cars.
    • Unlock and select cars from the shop. Cars drive basically the same with only the skins changing.
    • There are 5 cars in this game, with the 4 paid cars costing 2,500, 3,000, 3,500, and 4,500 to unlock. Unlocking all cars costs a total of 13,500.
  • Tips
    • Try to avoid contact with other cars unless you are further along the course than they are. Whoever is further along typically wins in any contact battle, while the other car slows down after contact.
    • You typically need to pass on the inside part of a corner to avoid contact & to ensure you are further along the course if and when you make contact.
    • Once you get out in front of the other cars it is fairly easy to maintain your lead provided you do not hit the walls. You don’t need to drive particularly clean lines to stay out in front when you are already in the lead.
