Popcorn Time 2 Game for Kids Video Game Play Instructions

• Starting the Game
  • Select the red play button in the center of the welcome screen to start the game.
    • Levels are played sequentially with you automatically starting on the last level you played.
    • Your web browser saves your game progress including nozzle upgrades, purchased foods, and completed levels.
  • The upper left corner of the welcome screen has a button to the in-game store. The upper right corner shows how many coins you have remaining. The bottom center shows how many levels you have unlocked.

    • Use your mouse left click button to tap popcorn. Release to stop.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap the screen with a finger to pop popcorn. Release to stop.
  • Controls & indicators
    • The upper left corner of the screen has a home button.
    • The top center of the screen shows the level number you are on, how many pieces of popcorn you have lost thusfar (the 3 heart containers empty as you lose them), and a timing clock which turns yellow when you have filled past the fill line.
    • The upper right corner of the screen shows your coin savings.
• Game Play
  • Basics
    • Fill the containers beyond the yellow line to where all parts of the yellow turn green & then wait until the clock turns yellow to beat the level.
    • Lose no more than 2 popcorn pieces on each level or you’ll need to replay the level.
    • Use your in-game coins to unlock other foods and nozzles.
  • Levels
    • This game has 50 fixed levels & then a collection of endless autogenerated levels beyond that.
      • You can’t go back to replay previously beat levels without starting the game over at the beginning.
    • Winning vs losing
      • You beat a level by filling past the yellowed dashed line until all
  • Coins
    • You start the game with 1,000 coins.
    • Each time you fill a treasure chest by beating a number of levels you get another 20 coins.
      • If you beat a level while losing zero popcorn you fill the chest 25%.
      • If you beat a level while losing 1 popcorn you fill the chest 20%.
      • If you beat a level while losing 2 popcorn you fill the chest 15%.
      • If you fill a chest above 100% the extra does not carry over to the next chest.
    • Coins can be used to purchase nozzles and foods.
      • Nozzle shop – purchase 5 other nozzles in addition to the default nozzle. Premium nozzles have more shot power and shoot faster.
      • Food shop – purchase 5 other foods in addition to the default popcorn. Premium foods have different weights, elasticity, sizes, and shapes.
  • Tips
    • When you purchase other foods and nozzles more expensive does not always mean better.
      • In some cases where there is a tight clearance the pizza slice may not fit.
      • On levels where you need a bit of friction to stop rolling the donuts or hard candies may not be ideal.
      • You can go to the in-game store to switch whichever nozzle and food you have active at any time.
    • It is generally better to upgrade the foods before the nozzles, as certain levels are easy with some food options & harder with other food options.
      • After the initial 1,000 coins it is hard to earn coins as it takes 4 to 7 level completions to earn 20 coins.
    • Shoot in short bursts to limit how much force you are firing with & have greater control of the flow.
      • You can start shooting more aggressively if you have plenty of open space to fill with high walls & then use shorter bursts as you get closer to completing the level.
