Change Word Game for Kids Video Game Play Instructions

• Starting the Game
  • On the welcome screen, choose from one of the available game modes to begin:
    • Quick play
    • Category
  • On the top right corner of the welcome screen is the gear button. Select this to open the following options:
    • Select the speaker button to turn the game’s audio on or off.
    • Select the enlarge button to switch between windowed and full screen modes.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • With your mouse, left click and drag to change the position of the letters.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap and swipe the letters with your fingers to change their position.
  • Controls and indicators (left to right):
    • Top row:
      • Score
      • Number of words written
      • Gear button
    • Middle row
      • Alphabet keyboard
      • Hints
    • Bottom row:
      • Timer bar
• Game Play
  • Setting up
    • Choose a category to begin.
      • In Quick Play, you get to form words of increasing length.
      • In Categories, you get to choose the length of the words you need to look for (between 3 to 6 letters).
    • Read the tutorial slideshow if you want to. Otherwise, select Okay.
  • Basic rules
    • Drag a letter from the alphabet list shown below to change the word to another word.
      • Keep changing one letter to create a new word until no possible words can be made.
      • After that, the game lends you a new set of words
    • Keep creating new words until the timer runs out.
      • Use the hints .
    • Once you’re done, you can choose to share your final score on social media.
  • Hints
    • You start the game with 5 of each of the 3 types of hints:
      • Lightbulb: Shows you all the possible letters that will form a word
      • Bright lightbulb: Shows you one possible letter and where it goes to create a new word
      • Shuffle: Abandons the old word and generates a new one.
    • As you play, you gain more of the first two types of hints
      • You get up to 8 of either at any given time.
      • These are replenished each time you play through a round without ever using them in the early game.
      • Later in the game, you can’t get any more of them.

  • The game is suited for players who like word games.
  • The game has no adult themed content.
