  • Levels
    • Levels are unlocked in sequence.
      • You start with only the first level playable.
      • Finish one level to unlock the next.
      • After finishing the level, you always return to the welcome screen.
    • Each level has 3 stars.
      • Finishing a level again wins you the first star.
      • Replay the level and meet its new quota to win the second and third stars.
    • There are 50 levels in this game.
    • You can replay any of the levels you’ve already unlocked to earn more cash.
      • Even if you don’t win them, replaying levels is essential for upgrades.
      • The cash you earned from replaying levels will help you afford various in-game upgrades.
      • Expect to do a lot of level re-playing during the early part of the game.
  • Basic rules
    • Cooking and serving food
      • The game has one main dish, steak.
        • Cook the steak in the grill. It will take time to cook.
          • Once it cooks, you have a few seconds to remove it from the grill to keep it from burning.
          • If you do burn it, you must drag and drop it to the recycling bin on the bottom right.
        • You can garnish the steak with sauce and vegetables as demanded by the customer.
        • You can only serve the steak to the customer if it meets their expectations.
      • You can also serve juice.
        • Select the juice dispenser to dispense juice.
        • The glass of juice is automatically removed from the dispenser when it finishes.
      • Select the food to serve it to the customer.
    • Serve the customer
      • The customer will ask for a specific food order.
        • Your job is to meet it exactly before the customer’s patience runs out.
        • Customers can order multiple items at once.
      • The customer’s patience is shown to their right as a vertical meter. As the meter empties out, the customer becomes less patient.
      • Make sure to serve the customer before their patience runs out.
      • You only have a limited number of customers.
        • Your goal is to make as much money from these customers as you can to meet your level quota.
        • You get to keep the money earned from a level regardless of whether you win.
  • Profits and upgrades
    • To clear a level, meet its quota.
      • The quota increases as the level’s star rating does.
      • Eventually you’ll need upgrades to reach the even a one-star level quota within the required number of customers.
      • Use the money you earned in the level to pay for upgrades.
    • Use upgrades to improve the game.
      • Further into the game, you’ll need upgrades to allow you to serve more customers and make more money.
      • Upgrades increase the capacity of your kitchen and allow you to charge more.
      • You can access the upgrades screen by selecting the upgrade option on each level.
      • Choose your upgrades with care: some upgrades (such as charging more for juice, lettuce, and steak) provide a considerable boost in the early game.

      • steak – allows you to charge more, and starts at $500 while incrementing by $500.
      • tomatoes – allows you to charge more, and starts at $300 while incrementing by $300.
      • lettuce – allows you to charge more, and starts at $100 while incrementing by $100.
      • white sauce – allows you to charge more, and start at $400 while incrementing by $400.
      • brown sauce – allows you to charge more, and start at $300 while incrementing by $300.
      • extra plates – allows you to prepare more dishes at once, upgrades start at $800.
      • griddle – allows you to cook more steaks at once, upgrades start at $800.
      • drink cups – allow you to serve multiple drinks at the same time, starting at $500.
      • drink machine – charge more for drinks, starts at $200 while incrementing by $200.
  • Strategy
    • The key to doing well at this game is to keep doing things in parallel and have most of the customer order prepared before they even step up.
    • Adding sauce or vegetables to a steak only takes a second, though cooking steaks and pouring drinks take longer, so always keep 2 cooked steaks and a poured drink in inventory.
    • Be careful not to cook more steaks than you have plates for as the steak will then cost you points when it is thrown out for being charred.
