- Game Play
- Scoring
- You score points each time you break tiles. Larger tile sets score more points in a geometric sequence with larger match sets being worth far more than smaller sets.
- Selecting a single tile with no match is worth no points and costs you a life.
- Matching 2 tiles is worth 8 points.
- Matching 3 tiles is worth 18 points.
- Matching 4 tiles is worth 32 points.
- Matching 5 tiles is worth 50 points.
- Matching 6 tiles is worth 72 points.
- Matching 7 tiles is worth 98 points.
- Matching 8 tiles is worth 128 points.
- Matching 9 tiles is worth 162 points.
- Matching 10 tiles is worth 200 points.
- Matching 19 tiles is worth 722 points.
- Matching 28 tiles is worth 1,568 points.
- Matching 33 tiles is worth 2,178 points.
- You can match groups of as few as 2 tiles which are adjacent vertically or horizontally (though diagonal does not count as being adjacent).
- Levels
- The playing grid is 9 rows by 8 columns for a total of 72 tiles on it.
- Each level of the game has more tile types than the prior level.
- An increasing variety of tiles makes it harder to pair off all tiles into matching pairs without leaving a stray unmatched tile & it also makes it harder to make large matches.
- You should theoretically score more points and play more aggressively on the earliest levels of the game.
- Your game score is cumulative across all levels.
- Dying
- You lose a life any time you click a single tile which is not adjacent to an identical tile vertically or horizontally.
- Once you lose 3 lives cumulatively throughout the game it is game over.
- Strategy
- Be aggressive early
- Since the first couple levels only have a few tile types on them it is easy to score big points by making matches of 20 or 30 or more tiles at a time.
- As you get further into the game it is easier to lose lives by having stranded tiles, so it makes sense to be more conservative on later levels.
- Whenever you destroy all tiles in a column the columns on either side move together, enabling you to make new matches.
- It is easier to make matches in this game as you have many rows and columns to work with, but as you deplete some it becomes harder to not leave some unmatched tiles.
- Vertical matches will never fall out of place as you manipulate the puzzle, however horizontal matches will.
- Try to work on making horizontal matches high up on the puzzle while reserving vertical matches for when you run out of horizontal matches.
- Track which tiles are one or two rows out of position lower on the table and look for moves you can make to ensure they get paired off.
- Target Audience
- The game is suited for players who like simple tile breaking games.
- The game has no adult themed content.
