Electricity Bill Game for Kids Video Game Play Instructions

• Starting the Game
  • Press the gray PLAY button on the loading screen to bring up the welcome screen.
  • Select the level you would like to play on the welcome screen.
    • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress including beat levels.

    • Move left by pressing either the A key or the left arrow key.
    • Move right by pressing either the D key or the right arrow key.
    • Jump by pressing either the W key or the up arrow key.

  • Controls & indicators
    • The upper left corner of the screen has a restart button and shows what level number you are playing.
    • The upper right corner of the game has a level select button.
    • The bar at the bottom of the screen shows how much power remains.
    • The welcome screen shows which of the 16 levels you have unlocked.

  • Basics
    • Mechanics
      • As you move around the level whenever you touch something you activate it. This is true for both batteries and switches.
      • The glowing sign wave is where you place a battery which temporarily illuminates the entire stage. This also activates the movement of moving platforms on the stage.
      • Switches can open barriers which were blocking off access to part of the level.
    • Batteries
      • Each battery is single use. The green wave appears before it is used to indicate there is available power, and the battery turns red when it is depleted.
      • Different batteries have different durations.
      • In many cases you should wait until one battery is fully used up or almost completely used up before activating the next battery.
      • The order you activate batteries in matters for timing how you traverse tight parts of the level.
      • You can beat many levels without activating all the batteries on them, though some require all being beat.
    • Platforms
      • Gray platforms can move, though they only move when power is applied.
      • You have to activate batteries in the correct order to get the most out of safe passage on the platforms.
    • Hazards
      • Stages have spikes on them. If you run onto or fall onto a spike you die.
      • The platforms you move on often require precise timing to avoid missing them & falling on spikes, or having them push you onto the spikes.
      • When you activate power some parts of the level may spark, requiring you to either jump over the sparks or wait for the power to go back out before progressing further.
  • Levels
    • This game has 16 levels which are unlocked sequentially.
      • You can replay previously beat levels at any time.
    • Winning vs losing
      • You win a level by activating the circuit breaker at the end of each stage.
      • You lose a level by running into spikes, running into an electric charge, or getting stuck.
      • This game offers unlimited continues.
  • Tips
    • In many cases you need to use the same platform multiple times while moving in opposite directions.
    • Sometimes you need to jump over a power activator to first activate a switch and then hit the power as you are running toward a platform the power will put in motion.
    • When you see an electrical shock you may have to wait for it to end before you crossing, or you may have to time a tight and narrow jump to avoid it.
