Loop Path Game for Kids Video Game Play Instructions

• Starting the Game
  • Select the play button near the bottom center of the welcome screen to bring up the level select screen.
    • Levels are unlocked sequentially.
    • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.
  • The welcome screen has a sound control button in the upper right corner.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • Use your mouse left click button to select a piece then select where you would like to play it.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap the screen with a finger to select a piece & then tap again to select where you would like to play it.
  • Controls & indicators
    • The upper left corner of the screen shows what level you are on.
    • The upper right corner of the screen has 3 buttons for returning to the home screen, restarting the current level, and controlling game sound.
    • The level select screen shows which levels you have unlocked.

  • Goal
    • The goal of this game is to use every piece in the grid to create a single closed loop or multiple closed loops.
    • A loop is considered close if at every exposed edge of the loop there is a planting dot end piece that anchors the loop to the board. Loops may be any shape & may connect at many different points, so long as the edges are anchored.
  • Levels
    • This game has 30 levels which are unlocked sequentially.
      • You can go back and replay previously beat levels at any point in time.
    • Winning vs losing
      • In this game you technically can’t lose, as you get unlimited moves, can repeatedly move any piece, and you keep playing until your layout solves the puzzle.
      • The level is considered beat when all pieces form a single closed loop or a series of closed loops with anchoring end pieces at the edges.
  • Strategy
    • Start with the double curved pieces first and try to move them toward the center of the board.
    • Try to make as many figure 8 sort of designs as you can and then worry about the single curved pieces, straight pieces, and line ends after you have got most of the curved pieces in play.
      • You may need to move other pieces out of the way toward the edges or corners of the board to start building your figure 8 designs.
      • After you get the bulk of your loop designed you may need to adjust by moving the entire network up, down, left, or right a couple squares.
