Pac Rat Game Play Instructions
How to Play
Eat all the cheese while avoiding the cats.
General Game Controls
The welcome screen to the game has a full screen mode button in the top left corner, a button to turn sound on or off in the top right corner, and a clear save button in the lower left corner.
Eat the Cheese
You can move your rat using the direction arrow buttons on your keyboard.
Each level is complete when all cheese has been consumed.
Avoid the Cats
If the cats bump into you then your character dies unless you recently ate a power up pellet and are glowing.
Eat the Cats
After eating one of the power pellets in the corner of the screen the cats will have a scared look and your rat will glow. In this state you can eat the kittens. They will turn into ghosts, return to the center base, then try to chase you again.
You can repeat this process each time you run over a power pellet.
Easy Game
The original Pac Man game is brutally difficult after the first few levels.
This game is far easier than Pac-Man as it only has 6 levels, it has 3 cats instead of 4 ghosts, and the relative character speeds are also in your favor.
Your game progress is stored in your local web browser.
Once you have beat a level you can replay it whenever you like, though you have to beat the current level to unlock the subsequent level.
The game also does not have fruit to collect.

Pac Man Trivia
It is hard to overstate what a cultural phenomena Pac Man was in the 1980s. The game was featured in TV shows, movies, books, and even had an absurd erotic spin off named Streaking created by Japanese manufacturer Shoei.
