Ski King Game for Kids Game Play Instructions

• Game Play
  • Level selection
    • The game offers 50 levels located in different mountains. Each of the 5 mountains (Bald Mountain, Mount Fuji, Matterhorn, Mont Blanc, & Andes) have 10 levels apiece.
    • Levels are unlocked in sequence. At the start, only the first level is playable.
    • Replay each of the levels you’ve unlocked to improve your game time.
  • Basic
    • Find the shortest path down the mountain and avoid all the obstacles in your path.
    • Pass through each of the flags from the correct direction.
      • Avoid passing by a flag from the wrong side. (If you go the wrong way, you cannot course-correct.)
      • Each time you go the wrong way or hit an obstacle, you start over at the top of the mountain again.
      • Some flags are near obstacles, so you can aim to hit the flags and quickly move away from the obstacles.
    • Reach the bottom of the course in record time to clear the level.
    • Collect upgrade points to improve your skills.
  • Skills and upgrades
    • Each time you beat the course best time on a level with an upgrade point you can upgrade your character.
    • Use your upgrade points to bolster any of 3 main skills. Each skill can be upgraded 10 times.
      • Carving: Tilting your skis so you move side to side.
      • Speed: Go down faster.
      • Stability: Maintain your momentum when passing through difficult terrain.
    • The skills you choose to upgrade will affect your performance on different courses.
      • Courses littered with obstacles need better carving.
      • Straight courses will favor better speed.
      • Rough courses demand better stability.
    • Play through each of the levels to identify what skill you need to improve on the most.
  • Strategy
    • When flags are close to obstacles it can be beneficial to view flags as things to hit rather than things to go around.
    • Difficulty
      • This game is much more difficult than most web games & the difficulty level increases quickly early in the game.
      • On level 7 after you jump you encounter ice which is hard to turn on, so be sure your direction is set before you hit the ice.
      • On level 8 there is a rough and rocky part.
      • On level 9 there is a dangerous part which has a warning sign on it.
    • Obstructed views
      • Some flags can be hard to see behind objects. If particularly flags are tricky try to remember what happened just before that flag so you can approach with caution.
      • Similarly, some trees block your views of things you can accidentally run over.
    • Reorient your upgrades
      • At any point in time you can reset your upgrade points to cater to the course you are currently on. Click the reset button then redistribute your points.
