Smiling Glass Water Game for Kids Video Game Play Instructions

• Starting the Game
  • Tap anywhere on the game load screen to bring up the welcome screen.
  • Select anywhere on the welcome screen to bring up the level select screen.
    • Levels are unlocked sequentially.
    • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.
  • The welcome screen has a sound control button in the upper right, a game developer information button in the lower left, and a more games button in the lower right.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • Press your mouse left click button to turn the water flow on.
    • Release to turn the water flow off.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap the screen and hold to pour water & release to shut the valve.
  • Controls & indicators
    • In the top left of the level screen there are buttons for home & restarting the current level.
    • In the top center the current level number is shown. Under the level a meter for how much more water you can pour, with the blue meter turning white as you empty it out.
    • The top right corner has a sound control button.
    • The level select screen shows unlocked levels using blue text on white buttons.
• Game Play
  • Goal
    • Your goal is to use the limited amount of water you are given on each level to fill the cup to the fill line.
    • This game is fairly generous with allowing you to overfill one side of the cup while underfilling the other side and still count the cup as full.
    • When you fill the cup past the line (on average) then you beat the level.
    • You do not need to worry about overfilling cups, as you are not dinged for that.
    • You can repeatedly turn the water faucet on and off.
  • Obstacles
    • Spikes – any water which touches spikes is wasted. Some spikes are stationary, while others ride on moving platforms or platforms that rotate.
    • Spiked balls – these move across the screen. Any water which touches these is wasted.
    • 4 beam spinning platforms – these spin based on the prior momentum along with how and where you pour water on them.
    • Yellow platforms – spin periodically.
    • Green platforms – you can pour water on these to knock them out of position, or to shift their position from flat to being more like a ramp you can pour water on.
    • Purple platforms – these blink. When they are light colored water can pass through them & when they are solid water can flow across them but not through them. Within a particular level there can be multiple purple platforms with different timing sequences on each.
  • Levels
    • This game has 40 levels which are unlocked sequentially.
      • You can go back and replay previously beat levels at any time.
    • If you run out of water before the cup is filled you lose the level.
      • This game gives unlimited continues, so don’t be afraid to experiment or be aggressive early in a level.
      • Use the level restart button if you make a major mistake early.
  • Tips & strategies
    • Levels are not timed, so take your time.
    • Some parts of the level which move have different speeds, so it can make sense to wait until parts are well in sync or out of sync (as needed).
      • If you are having trouble tracking multiple separate items then look at which one is more limiting and use that as your primary thing to keep track of.
    • Some levels require you to make many short pours rather than fewer long pours.
