• Starting the Game
  • The game is playable immediately upon loading. Choose any puzzle around the room to start.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • Using your mouse, left click to select and navigate.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap the screen with your fingers and use them as a mouse.
• Game Play
  • Main goals
    • Unlock each of the puzzles to open the door.
    • You’ll need both logical and out-of-the-box thinking skills to solve each of the puzzles.
  • Layout
    • The door dominates the left side of the room.
      • It has 6 locks, representing the game’s puzzles.
      • For each puzzle you solve, the lock will change color and transform.
    • Various puzzles are located in key areas in the room
      • A box is located on the floor near the left corner of the room.
      • A poster is on the wall next to the door.
      • Dominating the center of the room is a desk. The following items are on top of it.
        • An abacus
        • A computer
      • At the right end of the room is a mirror and a radiator.
    • Each puzzle creates a pop-up box for itself. Solve the puzzle or select the x button to try something else.
    • Besides the objects representing puzzles, there are two other clusters of largely decorative items.
      • At the floor to the right of the door is a potted plant.
      • Next to the desk is a server terminal with a fan below and a fishbowl on top.

Walkthrough (Spoilers Ahead!)

Note: If you want to solve this game yourself, we recommend not reading this section. If you’re stumped, on the other hand, read away!

• Flex Boxes (corner box)
  • Use the buttons to arrange the boxes in the proper order. The buttons are as follows:
    • Flex Direction
    • Justify-Content
    • Align-Items
  • Select Display Flex to show your answers.
  • The boxes will change color from blue to magenta depending on whether you’re getting close. The more boxes change color, the closer you are to the correct answer.
  • Answer key:
    • Flex Direction: row
    • Justify-Content: center
    • Align-Items: center
• Riddle of The Runes (poster)
  • Click on the upper right corner of the poster to open up this game.
  • The tiles are out of order. Rearrange them so that they appear in the proper order.
  • The “runes,” by the way, are actually mirror images of numbers that have been flipped 90 degrees.
  • Make sure each of the tiles are within boxes. Each box will turn magenta if the tile is in its proper place.
  • Once you’ve arranged all the numbers, select Submit Answer.
  • The hint suggests opening up the web browser console to check the arrays. To do this right click on the page then click inspect, then click on the word console to open up the console.
• Make The Sum Add Up (abacus)
  • Create a valid mathematical equation following this format:
    • [number] [operator] [number] [operator] [number] equals [number]
  • You are limited only to the following:
    • Single digits from 0 through 9. Even the answer must be in a single digit.
    • Addition (+) and subtraction (-)
  • Any equation, as long as the answer is mathematically correct, can be valid. Pay attention to your operators.
  • Sample valid answer:
    • 1 + 2 + 3 = 6
• We All Scream For Ice Cream (computer)
  • This puzzle resembles a text-based video game such as Zork. It takes the form of nestled folders.
  • Find the ice cream by exploring the rooms, freezers, and ice boxes of the building until you find the ice cream.
  • Once you found the ice cream, the game tells you how many clicks and levels it took for you to find it.
  • We recommend going further down to see extra jokes.
• I Can’t Seem To Read This Note (mirror)
  • You receive a backwards message.
  • Simply move it to the mirror to see what it says.
• Pipes (radiator)
  • The game has no instructions, so it can be challenging to figure out what to do here at first.
  • On the left side are the following:
    • At the top left are 3 buttons:
      • Add pipe: Adds a pipe below the current layout.
      • Update rows and columns: Changes the network of pipes shown on the right
      • List array: Lists down the position of the pipes at the botom of the screen.
    • A drop down list box is available on the center left. This lets you adjust the number of rows and columns in the game.
    • The pipe illustrations don’t actually do anything.
    • At the bottom left is the array that lists down the position of the pipes in the grid.
  • I actually haven’t figured out exactly how this puzzle works. What I found is that reducing the size of the grid (e.g., to a 1×2 grid), then aligning the pipes so that a single continuous pipe is present between the start and end points solves the puzzle.
  • When the puzzle is solved, the game shows an retro animated clip of a hole in a metal wall that pours out high-pressure water. The caption above it says “Oh my… Looks like these pipes are busted. I guess I better leave this for the plumber.”
• Once you’ve solved all the puzzles, the game drops the puzzle’s name
