• Game Play
  • Level selection
    • Levels are unlocked in sequence. Only the first level is unlocked at the start of the game.
      • You begin the first level with a cutscene explaining the game’s premise. Use the E key to skip this part.
      • After finishing one level, you automatically load the next one.
      • You can only unlock a level after you’ve played through it.
    • You can replay any of the levels that you’ve already unlocked.
  • Objectives
    • As the soul of a mage, hop from one body to another to escape undetected.
      • To switch bodies, activate the mind plane.
      • The physical plane freezes while you’re in the mind plane.
      • Once you leave a body and switch, the person falls unconscious. You cannot re-possess a body you left.
    • You can travel anywhere in the mind plane unless blocked by a mind gate but cannot affect anything in the mortal plane.
      • You must use human bodies to activate items in the mortal plane.
      • Physical bodies can cross mind gates with ease.
    • Some individuals will be more capable of surmounting obstacles than others.
    • Reach the exits while in possession of a physical body to clear each level.
  • Bodies
    • The Mage himself
      • He only appears in the first level.
      • He cannot jump very high, so your first order of business is to abandon his body.
    • Guards
      • Most guards of low rank are capable of jumping and running.
      • They cannot jump very high and will be trapped if they fall in a ledge they can’t jump back up from.
      • In most levels, you start with a guard.
    • Knights
      • Knights can double jump.
      • Use knights to get to much higher places with ease.
    • Thieves
      • Thieves can use blue walls to climb by jumping repeatedly.
      • They otherwise cannot jump as high as knights.
  • Level features
    • Mind gates
      • Mind gates appear in the mind plane.
      • They keep your soul from leaving. You can only get past them through a physical body.
      • In later levels, some mind gates can move.
      • Mind gates can be opened through red switches.
    • Sensors
      • Sensors unlock a gate or perform an action only when pressure is applied on them.
      • To keep them activated, make sure that you leave a body while still on it. The unconscious person will keep it activated.
    • White switches
      • Touch the white switch to flip it.
      • When flipped, the switches will unlock the door.
      • Other times, the switch will also trigger other things like barriers and platforms. Make sure to get past these before they block your way entirely.
    • Red switches
      • Red switches turn off soul gates, which will allow you to travel in the mind plane unobstructed.
      • They are activated the same way as white switches.
    • Blue walls
      • Blue walls act as both a means of ascent and a barrier.
      • Only thieves can climb up blue walls.
    • Green barriers
      • Green barriers are activated by white switches.
      • If the barrier closes and blocks out your path to the door, you fail the level.
      • Activating a green barrier may sometimes open a path instead of blocking it.
    • Rising platforms
      • Rising platforms are activated by the white switches.
      • These platforms open up new paths for you.
      • Sometimes you need to get on the platform before it rises too high.
  • Tips
    • Move fast. You often need to get into position before a green barrier closes a path or a platform rises too high to jump onto.
    • Time your jumps with care.
      • Sometimes, you can get past a mind gate just by leaving your previous physical body mid-jump.
      • This is often the only way to get past moving mind gates.
    • Think outside the box. The best person to turn on a switch may not be the closest person available.
