Arthur’s Puppet Theater Cinderella Game for Kids Video Game Play Instructions

• Starting the Game
  • Select the start button at the bottom of the welcome screen.
  • This will bring up the character casting selection screen.
  • Once character rolls have been selected you can direct the play in real time.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • Use your mouse left click button to make casting choices & select which option you would like to choice for each major plot option.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Use one of your fingers to make casting & scene direction choices.
  • Controls & indicators
    • The upper left corner of the game has a pause button.
    • There is a disco ball top center to add lighting & three sound buttons in the upper right corner for adjusting backing music.
• Game Play
  • Roles
    • You can select between any of the 24 combination of Arthur, Buster, DW and Muffy for the following rolls: Cinderella, fairy helper, prince charming & narrator.
  • Other variations
    • In the first act you prepare Cinderella for the royal ball.
      • The fairy helper can be a fairy inventor or fairy godmother.
      • Cinderella can dress as a movie star or wear an astronaut’s space suit.
      • Cinderella can compete her outfit with glass slippers, sneakers, or space boots.
      • Cinderella can ride to the ball in a pumpkin carriage, pumpkin car, or pumpkin rocket.
    • In the second act Cinderella meets the prince.
      • The prince can appear as Prince Charming, Prince-Bot 5000, or Prince Megastar.
      • The prince can ask Cinderella for a dance, introduce the new shake dance move, or introduce the hop.
      • Cinderella responding with a message that is happy, sad, or silly.
      • The scene ends with a reminder to Cinderella about the midnight deadline & Cinderella leaving behind footwear. Players can choose one of 3 different special effect sounds to end the scene.
    • In the third act the prince looks for Cinderella.
      • Choose which of 3 scenes the prince looks at first including his own ball room. the house of granny from Little Red Riding Hood & the house of the 3 bears.

    • If you do the math on the above there are 209,952 potential combinations
      • 24 character selection combinations
      • 36 choice combinations in the first act
      • 81 choice combinations in the second act
      • 3 choices in the third act
      • In addition to the above options, you can also add variation with the background music and disco ball.
    • In the upper right corner there are three different music tracks players can turn on or off (a maximum of 1 background track may play at a time & you can play zero).
    • At the top center there is a disco ball which can be turned on and off.
  • Directing vs playing
    • On your first play through you make all the above decisions & the puppets pause for each decision.
    • When you finish making all the decisions and the play ends you can choose to start a new play from scratch where you make all the decisions, or replay your prior choices as a continuous stream without requiring you to make any decisions.
    • During a replay you can adjust the game’s backing music and turn the disco ball on or off while all other choices are made automatically.
