Maze 64 Game for Kids Video Game Play Instructions

• Starting the Game
  • Select anywhere on the game loading screen to bring up the level select screen.
    • Levels are unlocked sequentially.
    • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • Use your mouse left click button to select a number stone.
    • To move the number stone you can drag your mouse in the direction you want to move it, or touch the corresponding arrow key on your keyboard.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap the screen with a finger to select a stone & drag your finger in the direction you want to move the stone.
  • Controls & indicators
    • Across the top of the screen there is a home button, the current level number is shown, and there is a button to restart the level.
• Game Play
  • Levels
    • This game has 25 stages which are unlocked sequentially.
    • You can go back and replay any previously beat stage.
    • You are not scored based on your total move counts, only a pass or fail.
      • You pass a stage by merging all stones on the board into a single stone.
      • You fail a level by moving the stones in the wrong order or to the wrong positions, such that it makes it impossible to merge all the stones together.
  • Basics
    • You can move any stone in any of the 4 directions provided there is open space in the direction you are moving.
    • When you move a stone it keeps moving in that direction until it hits the edge of the level or hits another stone.
      • If stones which are of unequal values slam into each other they do not merge.
      • When stones of equal value are adjacent & one of them is moved toward the other then they merge into a single stone of double the value.
  • Strategy
    • Some numbers get stuck on edges of the board.
      • When that happens try to place an equal valued stone on the adjacent tile then merge inward away from the dangling nodes at the edge of the graph.
    • If you have to make a match that is in the middle of the board try to use other number stones as a temporary wall to enable your plays.
      • If you are trying to use stones as spacers try to ensure they alternate stone values so they do not merge.
