Plug Me Escape Platformer Game for Kids Video Game Play Instructions

• Starting the Game
  • Select the gray and black PLAY button on the game loading screen. This will bring up the game’s welcome screen.
  • Levels
    • Initially only the first level of the game is accessible.
    • Each time you beat a level you unlock the next level & its button turns green.
    • You can replay any unlocked level at any point in time.
    • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress.
  • The welcome screen also contains a button to reset your gameplay progress across all 18 levels & another button to access the extended version of this game on Steam.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • Use the left arrow key or the A key to move left.
    • Use the right arrow key or the D key to move right.
    • Use the up arrow key, the W key, the X key, or the spacebar to jump.
      • Press multiple of them or press one of them twice to double jump.
      • You can jump once then conduct the second jump while already in the air, or you can press twice immediately.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • This game was designed primarily for desktop devices.
  • Controls & indicators
    • The level number is shown in the upper left corner.
    • Your cumulative deaths are shown in the upper right corner.
    • The green power bar drains over time & always shows its status. When it is nearly empty it turns yellow then red.
• Game Play
  • Power bar
    • Any part of the power bar that is green, yellow, or red can be stood on as a platform.
    • Where the power bar is clear it is as though it does not exist & you can fall through it.
    • You must reach the plug at the end of the level before the power bar fully drains.
  • Timing
    • Beating some of the later levels in this game relies on precision timing.
    • Sometimes you have to move forward then backward, while other times you may need to move to activate a switch and create an alternate path then re-run the level.
• Target Audience
  • The game is suited for players who like timed level escape platformer games.
    • This game is quite difficult, particularly at the higher levels, so it is probably a better fit for older children and adults who are experienced gamers.
