Psycho Beach Mummies Game for Kids Game Play Instructions

• Starting the Game
  • Select the magenta play button on the lower right corner of the welcome screen to begin.
  • Before beginning, the game will show a tutorial slideshow explaining its premise and basic controls.

    • Your vehicle automatically moves forward. Use the left and right arrow keys to change direction.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Although the game might load on some touchscreen devices, its controls were optimized for desktops with a mouse and keyboard.
• Game Play
  • Basics
    • You automatically move forward.
    • Run over as many invasive beach mummies as you can to clear the beach.
    • Clear out any objects that stand in the way: property damage is no issue.
    • Avoid getting overwhelmed by the mummies or driving into deep water.
    • Collect coins and smash items.
  • Mummies
    • There are two types of mummies in this game:
      • Idle mummies occupying the beach
      • Aggressive mummies who will go after you
    • Smashing into the idle mummies will net you 500 points each. The more mummies you run over, the higher your overall score.
    • Aggressive mummies will latch onto your vehicle.
      • The more mummies in your vehicle, the slower and harder to steer your vehicle becomes.
      • You might be able to dislodge mummies by dragging them around and hitting random objects.
      • Eventually, the mummies will overwhelm you and you die.
      • As your score increases and you level up more aggressive mummies come after you more frequently.
    • Hitting a sarcophagus (mummy coffin) will release more aggressive mummies.
  • Difficulty
    • Difficulty is measured through the mummy icons on the top center corner of the screen.
    • There are five difficulty levels.
    • Each time you reach a score milestone, the game increases the difficulty level.
    • More difficult mummies move faster, have a better grip, and are stronger.
  • Collecting coins
    • You can collect coins scattered around the game world or after hitting various breakable objects.
    • Use coins to unlock newer, faster vehicles.
  • Terrain hazards
    • Items you cannot run over add difficulty to navigation
      • There are some items (rocks, lighthouses, trees, etc.) that stop your vehicle in its tracks.
      • Other items can’t be destroyed buy will be dragged around, such as buckets and beach umbrellas. They can slow you down and mess with your ability to navigate.
      • Some items you can destroy still slow you down a bit when you hit them.
      • Different vehicles have different speeds and breaking points. The Mummy Slayer can break most things it hits into at any speed whereas the Tricycle needs to get up to speed to be able to break most items.
    • Your vehicle can enter shallow water but will sink in deep water. Some vehicles also slow down significantly even in shallow water.
  • Scoring
    • Various items add to your score as you run over the mummies.
    • The highest-scoring items are lounging mummies occupying the beach at 500 points each.
    • The next high-scoring items are beach sandcastles and sand pyramids.
    • Your high score is tied to the vehicle you use.

Kart Attributes

You can use the coins you collect to unlock 5 additional kart types. Your vehicles vary in strength, size, top speed, acceleration, handling over water, and how easily they break things.
