How to Play

Pair cards which sum to 13 & clear the pyramid of cards before the timer reaches zero. Shuffle through the reserves and use the free cell to enable additional matches.

  • Starting the Game
    • Select the Play button on the right side of the game’s welcome screen to start the game or continue a prior game you were playing.
    • Underneath the Play button are buttons for how to play Help, High Scores, and More Games.
    • The lower left corner of the welcome screen has a language select dropdown.
    • The lower right corner of the welcome screen has buttons for social media sharing and reading game developer information.
  • Game Controls
    • Desktop
      • Use your mouse left click button to select a card & then select the card you want to pair it with.
      • You can also use your mouse left click button to deal more cards from the reserves, or to select a card and drag it to the free cell.
    • Touchscreen devices
      • Tap the screen with a finger to select cards to pair them or move them.
    • Controls & indicators
      • The free cell is in the lower left corner.
      • The card stock is just right of the free cell and has a number on it indicating how many cards remain in it.
      • The play stacks are right of the stock.
      • All other controls are in the right column.
        • At the top it shows your current level number, cumulative game score, and remaining level timer.
        • At the bottom there are 5 buttons to undo moves, pause the game, switch to full screen mode, control game music, and control game sound.
          • You can use the Undo button repeatedly, but you can only undo a single move at a time & must make another move to recharge it.
  • Game Play
    • Deal
      • 28 cards are dealt to the pyramid face up.
      • 24 cards are dealt to the reserves.
    • Playing
      • Match pairs of cards which sum to 13.
        • Ace-Queen, 2-Jack, 3-10, 4-9, 5-8, and 6-7.
        • Kings can be removed individually.
      • Match locations
        • You can match
          • 2 cards on the tableau
          • 2 cards on the discard piles
          • a card on the tableau with a card from a discard pile
          • a card on the tableau with a card in the free cell
          • a card in a discard pile with the card in the free cell
      • Reserves
        • When you deal the stock cards they are deal 3 at a time to the bottom of the screen across 3 different stacks.
        • You can only go through the reserves once.
        • Cards which you have passed over from the reserves can only be accessed again by playing all the cards above them or moving a card which was above it to the free cell.
      • Free cell
        • This game has a free cell which can be used repeatedly to temporarily store cards.
        • Each time you clear out a card from the free cell you can place another in it.
    • Levels
      • This game has 10 levels which are unlocked sequentially.
        • You can’t go back and replay previously beat levels without starting the game over.
      • Level timers
        • The first level gives you 4 minutes to complete it.
        • Each subsequent level has a 20 second shorter timer to where you must beat the final level in 1 minute.
        • If you lose a level it is game over, though you can refresh your web browser rather than clicking the end game button to try to continue on the level you just lost on.
      • You beat a level by clearing the pyramid of cards before the timer runs out.
        • You do not need to use all the reserves to beat the levels.
        • You need only clear the pyramid, and can even move one of the cards to the free cell to clear the pyramid.
    • Strategy
      • Try to keep the free cell clear most of the time so you can use it whenever you need to.
      • Whenever you see a card atop its pair try to remove the top card to the free cell so then you can quickly pair off the two cards.
      • Work on all parts of the pyramid at the same time rather than leaving one long leg.
      • Don’t be afraid to pair off cards in the reserves or move one of them to the free cell if you need to in order to get down to a deeper card.
      • You have to play fast when you get to the last few levels to finish on time.
    • Scoring
      • Your game score is cumulative across levels.
      • You score 50 points for each King you remove from the game & 100 for each pair of 13 you make, for a maximum card-based score of 2,600 per level.
      • Each second you have remaining on the clock when you beat a level is worth 30 points.
      • Each card you have in the reserves which has not yet been flipped over when you beat a level is worth 100 points each.
  • Target Audience
    • The game is suited for players who like Pyramid Solitaire card games.
    • The game has no adult themed content.
