Sumo Push Push Game for Kids Video Game Play Instructions

• Starting the Game
  • Choose from any of 6 different avatars on the welcome screen then press the PLAY button to start the game.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • Use your mouse left click button to choose which column you want to lay a sumo wrestler in.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap the screen with a finger to select which column you want to play a character to.
  • Controls & indicators
    • Your opponent’s remaining health status bar is across the top while your health bar is across the bottom.
    • When you collide with an opponent a numerical indicator appears near the collision to indicate the weight on each side.
    • The left rail of the game shows your next character, how charged up they are, and the subsequent 2 characters.
    • The upper left corner has a help information button & the upper right corner has a settings button.
• Game Play
  • Basics
    • You and your opponent each start with 100 units of health or food.
      • Each time one of your sumo wrestlers makes it to the end of the level you take some of their health.
      • Each time one of their sumo wrestlers make it to the end of the level they take some of your health.
      • You win by depleting all of their health before they deplete all of yours.
    • Balance
      • When sumo run into each other the side of the balance which has more weight wins & pushes toward the opponent’s side.
      • Smaller sumo take more health from the opponent, but larger sumo which weigh more can push harder.
  • Characters
    • Each time you lay a character you are assigned 1 of 5 characters as the next character.
    • The smallest character is bald, weighs 10 kg & you subtract 7 health from your opponent if they make it to the top of the screen.
    • The second smallest character has a pointy hairdo, weighs 20 kg, and subtracts 5 health.
    • The middle character weighs 40 kg and subtracts 3 health from your opponent.
    • The second largest character weighs 60 kg and subtracts 2 health from your opponent.
    • The largest character weighs 80 kg and subtracts 1 health from your opponent.
    • Periodically a neutral sumo with two fans appears in the middle of the board. That sumo takes 10 health from whichever side it exits.
  • Strategy
    • You want to block their smallest competitors from making it across the screen.
    • If they have a large heft balance in a column but no small characters you should put your sumo wrestlers in other columns to bypass them.
    • Whenever there is a big pile up with hundreds of kilos in a stack try to win those big fights as they can account for a huge point swing.
    • If you get out to a large lead you can scattershot your sumo across the columns just to force their approach to be scattered as well.
    • If you have a small sumo in a column you can keep laying more sumo in that row to ensure you have enough heft to make it across the finish line.
    • If you see a sumo with a fan in a column try to ensure you win that column as that sumo alone is worth 10% of the starting health for either side.
