- Game Play
- Simple game
- This is a rather simple game with a single map and only 3 tower types.
- Enemies can not attack or defeat your towers, but simply walks past them while trying to stay alive.
- You score a point for each enemy you destroy.
- The game ends when 5 enemies get past your defenses.
- As you progress through the game enemies move faster.
- When towers are built they can not later be removed nor upgraded.
- This means the location and types of towers you build are critical if you want to maximize your score.
- Tower types
- There are 3 basic tower types: infantry, wizard, and archer.
- Infantry costs $100 and attacks an individual enemy at a time with a medium strength attack.
- Wizard costs $250 and shoots out a wave of short-range attacks in a circular pattern, enabling it to hit many enemies at once.
- Archer costs $600 and does a longer range powerful attack of a single enemy at a time.
- Where to place towers
- As mentioned above, towers which are built do not get damaged, can’t be upgraded, and can’t be torn down, so your tower locations are important.
- Early in the game it can make sense to build a handful of infantry towers near the beginning of the level. If you build other tower types too early you won’t be able to defeat the early waves of enemies.
- After building a handful of infantry towers it makes sense to build a bunch of magician towers in the early to middle part of the level, preferably toward the center where the circular attack can hit enemies on all sides. Where enemies turn it is great to place these towers on the inside corner of those turn locations.
- From there it can make sense to start filling in from the middle to back end of the level with archery towers, which shoot high-power long-range attacks.
- Game over
- Enemies keep moving faster & faster. Eventually they will overwhelm your defenses or you will run out of places to lay new towers.
- The heart indicators in the upper right indicate how many lives you have remaining & each enemy that gets by your defenses to the exit at the end of the stage consumes a life.
- When the game ends it restarts once more on an empty field.
- Target Audience
- The game is suited for young children who like simple tower defense games.
- The game has no adult themed content.
