Zombie Massacre Cowboy Fighter Game for Kids Video Game Play Instructions

• Starting the Game
  • After loading, the game immediately begins in the main menu.
  • On the left side are the following options:
    • Play button: Starts the game
    • Sherriff button: Shows the game’s achievements and your current rank based on the achievements.
    • Flag button: Changes the language of the game

• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • Press the left and right arrow keys to move.
    • Press the up arrow key to charge your jump. To jump, release the up arrow key.
    • Press the space bar to attack.

    • Although this game might load on touchscreen devices, its controls were optimized for desktops with keyboards.
• Game Play
  • Basic
    • As a cowboy, wander around the level and attack any zombies you find.
    • Don’t let the zombies kill you.
      • You only have a limited number of hit points before you die.
      • After the 4th level, you can buy med kits and other supplies from the support store.
      • See your hit points on the top center of the screen or as a
      • Collect med kits to restore your health.
    • Protect any civilian or major structure (wagon, well, etc.) you come across from the zombies.
      • Like you, they have hit points. These are shown as a green bar above them.
      • Once the zombies consume all those hit points, you fail the level.
    • Kill all the zombies to clear the level.
  • Interface
    • The pause button can be found on the top left corner.
    • The top center contains 4 counters, which measure the following:
      • Hit points: How many hits you can take from the zombies
      • Bullets: How many shots you can fire
      • Zombies: How many zombies you’ve killed
      • Coins: How many coins you’ve collected so far
    • The sound button is located on the top right corner.
  • Weapons
    • You gain weapons slowly throughout the game. New weapons are unlocked in as rewards for saving people.
      • Your default attack is a stick. This has a limited range but has unlimited attack options.
      • On the second level, you gain the chance to switch to an axe, which is similar but stronger.
      • At the end of the second level, the prospector you protect will provide you with a gun.
      • Finish the second level to unlock the shop.
    • Seek out weapon crates to switch weapons.
      • Weapons are assigned at random. You’ll never know what you’re gonna get.
      • It might be disingenuous to switch weapons, as there’s a chance you might switch to one that’s less ideal.
      • If a weapon is working for you, don’t switch unless you need to.
    • Some weapons, like guns, have limited ammunition. Use them sparingly.
  • Coins
    • You gain coins each time you successfully slay a zombie.
    • You also receive coins after rescuing people from missions.
    • Use coins to do the following:
      • Upgrade weapons
      • Buy support items and power ups
      • Pay for mercenary services
  • Main menu options
    • Sheriff
      • The sheriff is the first option available at the start of the game.
      • He lists down what you need to accomplish in each level to earn a new rank.
      • Each time you accomplish all 4 goals, you receive a cash reward.
    • Armory
      • The armory becomes available after the second level.
      • You can also upgrade your existing tools to make them more effective.
        • Each weapon can be upgraded 3 times, with a sliding price scale that makes each upgrade on a weapon significantly more expensive than the prior update.
      • Weapons get unlocked as you progress through the game. Weapons include:
        • nailed club
        • shotgun
        • Colt handgun
        • cactus ball
        • rifle
        • double pistols
        • axe
        • mini-gun (machine gun)
        • tequila bomb
    • Support store
      • The support store becomes available after the fourth level.
      • These provide you with one-time use items like bullets, med kits, and adrenalin shots.
    • Saloon
      • The Saloon is available after the seventh level.
      • It allows you to hire mercenaries and provide weapons when defending wagons.
      • Mercenaries:
        • Each mercenary wields a different set of weapons. This makes them effective in some situations more than others.
        • Mercenaries have a high ramp up cost, so don’t rely on them too much.
      • Escorts
        • Escorts provide wagons with a means to fight off waves of zombies that have wandered in too close.
        • They too have a high ramp up cost.
    • Achievements
      • Click on your character’s face to see the achievement menu.
      • When you complete a set of 4 achievements you improve your rank and get a cash reward.
  • Tips and tricks
    • Jump to move quickly from one place to the next.
    • Don’t leave the thing you must guard unattended for too long.
    • Power Up
      • Keep upgrading your weapons and buying more supplies. You’ll need them to bolster your survivability in the long run.
      • When you are inside a level if you have a strong weapon which has many bullets left do walk past another casket if you do not want to switch weapons.
      • If you have a horrible weapon you picked up then keep jumping your way to the next casket to get a better weapon.
    • Use distance to your advantage
      • If you have a range weapon and are close to an enemy then jump away from them before attacking.
      • Make sure to keep the zombies in range when you shoot them. Shooting them when they’re out of range is just wasting ammo. Shooting them when they are too close also is a waste of health and perhaps ammo.
      • If your opponent has a range attack and you do not then try to get close to them.
      • If you have a limited number of range shots left and you have many opponents it is best to focus on the opponent with a range attack first.
    • Take out the zombie reverends whenever they appear. They provide a buff to the other zombies. Leaving them alive will make the other zombies harder to kill.
    • If you get stuck on a level you keep gaining experience and treasure on it even when you lose.
      • Consider hiring help on tough levels if you are struggling.
      • The boss battle on level 14 was hard to beat without help, but easy to beat the first time with an assistant on the level. The boss appears again in later levels like level 29.
