How to Play
Move Scooby Doo left and right to complete the order while avoiding any ingredients which the customer asked you avoid using.
- Starting the Game
- Click on the green button with the white arrow at the bottom of the screen to start the game.
- If it is your first time playing the game you will start on level one.
- Each of the 20 levels needs prior levels completed before they are unlocked.
- Your local web browser automatically stores your beat levels, unlocked levels, level score, level rating, and total score.
- The welcome screen also has buttons near the top for sound control, developer information, and game tutorial.
- The bottom left corner of the screen has a level select button.
- Game Controls
- Desktop
- You can move Scooby Doo left and right by using the arrow keys or clicking and moving your mouse.
- The arrow keys are far easier to use as the movements are much more crisp and responsive.
- Mobile
- Use your finger like a mouse and swipe left or right to move Scooby Doo.
- The game must be played in portrait mode.
- The game has a pause button in the upper right corner which reveals the game menu offering access to sound & music control, help info, return home, restart level, and level select menu.
- Game Play
- At the beginning of each round a customer will place a specific order. For example Shaggy may ask for a sandwich with 4 bacon, 5 lettuce, 3 spam, 2 cheese, an unlimited amount of eggs and no tomato.
- You click on the the arrow in the lower right corner to then try to complete the order.
- Depending upon the level your sandwich can have a maximum of 30 slots.
- If you include any of the times which were explicitly stated “do not add” (as indicated by a red X) then the sandwich is thrown away and you have to start the sandwich over again.
- As you fill up slots you have less time to react since the top of your sandwich is closer to the top of the screen.
- You can add more than the specified amount for any individual ingredients and you can also add other ingredients which were not mentioned.
- Scoring
- On each level you are graded from 1 to 3 stars.
- If you do not perfectly complete the order but get it mostly correct you can still pass the level though will get fewer than 3 stars.
- Each star is worth 1,000 points.
- Each layer of your sandwich is worth 100 points for a maximum total of 3,000 points.
- If you complete the customer’s order correctly before you get to 30 layers then the top bun will fall and the order will be complete with how many layers you used.
- Each item which was asked for as infinite or unlimited (∞) is worth an extra 100 points per usage (in addition to the above 100 per layer).
- If you get the sandwich perfect the top bun falls into place and the level ends. You then get to play Scooby Doo in a bonus round eating Scooby Snacks.
- Each of the 20 Scooby Snacks is worth 50 points for a potential total of 1,000 bonus points.
- While the main game has 3 columns (left, center, right) there are additional columns in between those on the bonus rounds.
- Combining all the above together you can get around 7,000 to 9,000 points per round.
- Level select
- Levels are locked until you beat the prior levels.
- Once a level has been completed you can go back and play it again from the level select screen.
- Audience
- The game is suitable for kids of all ages.
- In this game players do not actually die. Rather if they put a forbidden ingredient on the sandwich Scooby Doo starts to remake the sandwich from scratch again.
- This feature should help young kids improve their attention to detail while making the “cost” of a loss rather trivial.
- Young kids who are fans of Scooby Doo will likely appreciate the Scooby Snacks bonus rounds.
- There are no adult themes.
