Strategy
Dying and continues
You start each game with 5 lives.
If any ball gets into the sewer you die.
If you die you can retry the current level as long as you have not died 5 times yet.
When you have died 5 times you start at the first level in that section of the game. The game consists of 4 different sections with around 4 or 5 levels each.
Tips and strategies
As you progress through the game the balloon chains move faster, there are more balloon colors, and the moving paths grow more complex. Some levels also have two separate chains to keep track of.
If you have 2 parallel chains and one is easy and the other is harder sometimes it can make sense to focus a bit more on the easy part first so then you can ignore it for a while and devote your full attention to the other chain.
Be careful shooting at balloons around corners where your balloon can accidentally hit a neighboring balloon.
If you have a balloon which is not easy to use there are four options. The first two are generally not recommended while the next two are.
shoot it into the chain where it is not next to another balloon of the same color
wait for the chain to move until it is easy to use
shoot the balloon away at the bottom of the screen & away from the chains
use the “up next” switching feature by clicking on your character
be careful when shooting balloons located near your character as it is easy to accidentally click on your character & cause the balloons to switch, having you shoot the wrong balloon at the chain
Power Ups
Some balloons temporarily show a sign on their face. When they are showing such a signal if you break them it will cause a power up like
bomb: blows up neighboring balloons
freeze: slows down the chain
accuracy: providing a laser pointer for aiming
reverse: makes the chain run in reverse
Bonuses are a double edge sword. Sometimes when a balloon has a sign on it the color of the balloon can be harder to distinguish.
Scoring points
On each level you score points based on how long it took you to complete the level and how many combos you obtained.
When you break a set of balloons the balloons on either side of it will connect if they are the same color & if there are three in a row you could create a multi-tiered combo chain reaction.
If you die and continue anew all your beat levels from prior sections will retain their scores and your next play will add to the cumulative score of the levels you have already beat.
End boss
The end boss has 5 heart containers and loses one each time you hit them with a ball.
You have to shoot the balloon chain in front of you to clear a way to be able to shoot balloons at the boss.

They offer PC versions (pictured below) as well as versions for game consoles including the XBOX 360 and the PlayStation 2.
