How to Play
Play through several themed minigames to find clues to the mystery. Use the process of elimination to find the identity of the perpetrator and close the case.
- Starting the Game
- On the welcome screen, select the play button below the title of the game to begin.
- An introductory video will play before the game begins.
- Like other Odd Squad games, the intro is pre-recorded in live action.
- You may go ahead to the game itself by selecting skip on the upper right corner of the screen.
- The game is narrated. The voiceovers will act as the tutorial.

- Choose between 11 different cases.
- Play 3 minigames to restore order to various locations using math-themed gadgets.
- Each location has a minigame, based on those listed below
- Each time you complete a task, you gain a clue.
- After completing all 3 tasks, use the clues collected to deduce the identity of the perpetrator.
- Select the suspect that best matches all three clues provided.
- Minigames
- Groupinator
- The Groupinator tool will only grab floating objects in specific increments (e.g. 4).
- When items pass by the Groupinator, they are drawn to it.
- Odd-and-Eveninator
- This device will collect flying pieces of food from across the restaurant.
- To work, you must catch the food clusters that are odd or even numbers.
- Sort out 10 numbers to clear the sublevel.
- Creature Egg sorting
- Grab as many eggs as you can to contain them. Eggs come in number increments.
- Drop them into the colored chutes. They will fall into cartons at the end of the chute.
- Pay attention to the color of the chutes.
- The cartons at the end of each chute can only contain 10 eggs at a time.
- If you fill a chute with more than 10 eggs, they spill. The eggs hatch and attack you.
- Basketball Game
- There are two variants of this game: the baskteballinator and monster feeding.
- Use the basketballinator to transform balls back into objects or people.
- Shoot some hoops to feed the monster.
- Dunk the projectile away from a specific number away from the target.
- If it’s too light, move to a bigger number.
- If it’s too heavy, move to a smaller number.
- Use trial and error to discern where the appropriate number might be.
- The narration will helpfully suggest your upper and lower limits for each projectile.
- Build a gadget
- Build a gadget out of 2 or 3 parts.
- The sum of the parts must equal the required number (e.g. 21)
- The parts can come in specific number increments. Choose the increments that yield the sum required.
- Once you’ve made the gadget, select anywhere on the screen to fire it.
- Sort the Oonabots
- Each of the Oonabots must be sorted according to the size of their number relative to a figure provided (e.g. 8)
- The malfunctioning Oonabots come with a number.
- Sort the Oonabots according to the size of their number.
- Move the bots with a number less than the given (e.g. 7, 6, 5, etc.) to the chute on the left.
- The bots with a number greater than the given (e.g. 10, 12, 17, etc.) should go to the chute on the right.
- The chute on the center is reserved for bots with exactly the number given.
