Solitaire 13 In 1 Collection Card Game for Kids Video Game Play Instructions

• Starting the Game
  • Choose which of the 13 game types you would like to play.
    • Klondike – Move all the cards to the foundations from ace to king of the same suit. On the tableau you can move any card onto another of alternate color and higher rank by one. Cards from the reserves are dealt turn 1.
      • When people say solitaire without any qualifiers this is the version of the game they are referring to.
      • Some versions of this game are dealt turn 3 while some are dealt turn 1.
      • This game uses a single deck of cards with 28 cards dealt to the tableau and 24 in reserves.
      • You can go through the reserves multiple times in this game.
      • In general it is typically best to make moves from cards on the tableau rather than the reserves & to work on the longest stacks to the right first, though you can use the in-game undo button to see which cards are under the top cards when there are multiple potential lay options.
    • Scorpion – Build tableau piles that run from king down to ace. On the tableau you can move any card onto another card of the same suit and higher rank by 1. You can move a king into an empty space.
      • 3 cards are dealt to the reserves with the other 51 cards dealt to the tableau across 7 columns.
      • Four columns have 8 cards each while the left three columns have 7 cards each & the top 3 cards in each of the three left columns are face down.
      • When you click on the reserves one card is dealt to each of the left 3 columns.
      • You can move cards with other irrelevant cards from other suits underneath them.
      • Only kings or runs of cards with a king as the top card may be laid to empty columns on the tableau.
      • When you make a royal flush the cards from that suit are automatically removed from the tableau.
    • Move all the cards to the foundations from ace to king of the same suit. You can move any card onto another card of the same suit and higher rank by 1. You can move a king into an empty space.
      • This game is similar to Scorpion except all 52 cards are dealt to the tableau across 7 rows. One row has a single card while all other rows have 5 cards face up and one additional card face down on each row.
      • You can build the foundations starting with the aces and work your way up by suit, even while you are still moving cards around the tableau.
      • Only kings oor runs of cards beginning with a king can be moved to an open column on the tableau.
    • Pyramid – Move all the cards to the foundation by matching pairs with a total value of 13, or playing a king by itself. You can only use completely uncovered cards from the pyramid or the two waste piles.
      • This is a single-deck card game where 28 cards are dealt across 7 rows on the tableau and 24 cards are dealt to the reserves.
      • You can go through the reserves multiple times.
      • Some Pyramid games allow you to connect 2 consecutive cards in the reserves, but this one does not.
    • Freecell – Move all the cards to the foundations from ace to king of the same suit. You can move any card onto another of alternate color and higher rank by 1. You can move any card into a free cell or an empty space. You can move correctly ranked piles if there are enough free cells available.
      • All cards are dealt to the tableau across 8 columns with half the columns having 7 cards while the other half have 6.
      • Free cells can repeatedly be used and emptied.
      • You may build the foundations starting with Aces even before having all the cards in order.
    • Spiderette – Build piles in order from king to ace until all cards disappear. You can only move cards and piles sorted in the correct descending order.
      • The game Spider gets its name for having 8 foundations you build as a Spider has 8 legs.
      • Spider can be played with 1, 2 or 4 suits.
      • While Spider uses the equivalent of 2 decks of card Spiderette uses the equivalent of only 1 deck.
      • This game is single suited so the goal is to make 4 complete runs of spades.
      • 28 cards are dealt to the tableau using the same layout as Klondike.
      • The 24 cards in reserves are dealt 7 at a time for 3 deals (with 1 card placed on the bottom of each column on the tableau) and a final deal of 3 cards (with 1 card placed on the bottom of each of the left 3 columns).
      • You must not have any empty columns on the tableau to deal from the reserves, so you will need to disorganize cards if organizing them leaves you with empty rows.
    • Yukon – Move all the cards to the foundations from ace to king of the same suit. You can move a king into an empty space. You can move any card onto another of alternate color and higher rank by 1.
      • This game is similar to Solitaire you move cards on the tableau in sequential order based on alternating suit color (rather than following suit).
    • Canfield – Move all the cards to the foundations in ascending order, starting with the rank of the card at the first foundation. You can move any card onto another of alternate color and higher rank by 1. A king may be placed on an ace of alternate color.
      • The tableau consists of 4 columns upon which you can lay cards.
      • The cards are dealt as follows: 1 card to 1 of the 4 foundations to set the staring point for other cards, 4 cards on the foundation, 13 cards to the side where you can only use the topmost card, and 34 cards in the reserves which are dealt one at a time.
      • You may shuffle through the reserves multiple times.
      • Whenever there is an empty column on the tableau the top card from the set of 13 on the left is played to it. If the left set of 13 is empty you can place any card from the reserves on an empty column.
    • Golf – Move all cards onto the foundation, each next one higher or lower one rank regardless of suit.
      • 35 cards are dealt to the tableau across 7 stacks with 5 cards each. One card is dealt to the waste pile and 16 cards are dealt to the reserves.
      • If you have multiple play options it is generally best to work on the longest stack first unless working on a shorter stack sets up a combo which enables you to make many plays in a row.
      • When you can not make any more moves draw a card from the reserves pile.
      • The deck wraps, so you can lay a king or a two on an ace.
    • Baker’s Dozen – Move all the cards to the foundations from ace to king of the same suit. Only one card can be moved at a time. Empty columns must remain empty.
      • This game gets its name because the tableau consists of 13 tableau columns with 4 cards in each. All cards are dealt face up.
      • Only the bottom card from each tableau column is playable.
      • Cards can be moved from the tableau or the reserves back and forth.
      • The keys to beating this game are to get the aces to the foundations early, try to unnecessarily clear out columns, and try to have many short runs rather than a few rather long runs with important cards lower in sequential order buried under them.
    • Single Rail – Move all the cards to the foundations from ace to king of the same suit. You can move any card onto another card of higher rank by 1. You may go through the stock only once.
      • The tableau has 4 columns with one card each and the other 48 cards dealt to the reserves.
      • There is no need to maintain suit or alternate colors on the tableau.
      • In many cases it can make sense to leave a column open on the tableau so you can use it to re-organize the other columns or so you can lay a higher sequential card and move another column onto it.
    • Tam O’Shanter – Move all the cards to the foundations from ace to king. Suits does not matter. Deal four more cards from the stock when needed. When the stock is empty, cards in the columns are re-dealt. Only two re-deals are allowed.
      • The key to this game is to ignore suit and place cards to the foundations whenever you can.
      • Get Ace and 2 cards there early and try to get a lot of cards to the foundation on your first deal so you have plenty of lay options for the subsequent deals.
    • Achilles – Move all the cards to the foundations by matching cards of the same rank, or one rank higher or lower. You can only use completely uncovered cards or two cards in the stock.
      • 3 cards are dealt to the reserves.
      • 51 cards are dealt to the tableau with 1 column of 9 cards and 2 columns each of 8, 7 and 6 cards.
      • in general you want to play down the tallest stacks first & ensure any time cards appear consecutively in a stack you quickly play one of those.
